Why is Medical Tourism so Prevalent?

Medical tourism is flourishing, and will continue to do so for the following three reasons:
One: Medical tourism offers convenience and speed, particularly for patients in countries with public health-care systems and long waiting lists.
Two: Medical tourism offers a wealth of possibilities, in cases where specialized care facilities or medical procedures are not readily available.
Three: Medical centers around the world offer excellent medical care at a fraction of the cost.

Why Israel?

Israel is home to fifty general hospitals and medical centers, with a ratio of 5.95 hospital beds, and 4.6 physicians per thousand population: One of the highest in the world. But more than the impressive numbers, Israel's reputation as a world leader in numerous medical areas remains unchallenged, making it a major destination for medical tourism:

** sophisticated medical technology (much was developed in Israel)
** top-of-the-line medical centers and facilities
       ** effective cancer treatments
** IVF treatments: Israel is known to better chances by as much as 25 to 50%
** orthopedics (General Surgery) and rehabilitation therapy (many of Israel's methods are being adapted by medical centers around the world)
** aesthetic surgery (General Surgery) and reconstructive surgery.

Why IMT?

IMT offers you the best of both worlds: the finest in Israel's medical services and medical technology along with a package exclusively designed for you.

Most medical tourism companies are affiliated with one or a just a few medical centers, or are inhouse services established by a single medical center.

IMT is an independent company which enjoys professional arrangements with ALL of Israel's major medical centers. Though we interface with hospitals across Israel, we don't work for them. We work for You. That's why we are always able to identify affordable, high quality medical care that meets your requirements.

What is Medical Tourism?

Medical tourism dates back to 4000 BCE with the Sumerians who actively promoted health facilities around hot springs. The Greeks and Romans expanded the industry quite significantly (N.B.: the word spa is a Roman derivative), however, it was the Egyptians, who, with the construction of the well-equipped Mansui Hospital in Cairo, succeeded in drawing patients from around the world.
